As our New Business Director, you'll create exciting opportunities to do the work we love, building a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities with amazing brand partners.

You’ll be on the frontlines of creating new connections, developing relationships, and generating opportunities to create digital experiences for the world’s leading brands. You’ll do this work alongside your partners in the growth leadership group, which includes strategy, marketing, and client engagement leadership. This group represents a winning combination of strategic talent focused on inbound, outbound, and organic growth efforts who work closely every week to attract, identify and secure exciting client briefs.

Your pulse on category-defining work within the industry, your devotion to understanding the business and marketing challenges of our key prospects, and your ability to connect prospects’ needs with Grow’s expertise to drive opportunity development will be essential to your success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the new business leader on the growth leadership team — establishing plans, owning specific goals, resolving issues, and driving outcomes that align new business with agency positioning, goals, and growth targets
  • Deliver on revenue targets for the company and new business KPIs
  • Develop new business strategies, including setting priorities for new client targets and defining and executing prospecting strategies to grow the new business pipeline
  • Develop a systematic approach to generating and nurturing leads, creating opportunities to connect with key decision-makers at client prospects
  • Deliver thoughtfully tailored presentations of agency capabilities and relevant work
  • Vet all new opportunities to gain clarity and assess right fit for Grow, capturing critical details on the opportunity to inform go/no-go decision-making
  • Define the win strategy for all opportunities we pursue, in collaboration with the Chief Client Officer, and brief in the team who will help craft the agency’s proposal
  • Manage all RFI, RFP & pitch responses, ensuring the agency is delivering against the win strategy
  • Generate reporting and retrospectives to create visibility into new business performance, and identify trends and key learnings to improve future performance
  • Establish and continually refine new business processes, systems & tools to enable effective management of the pipeline and efficient collaboration with cross-discipline stakeholders

Success in this role is demonstrated by launching best-in-class projects that are completed on-time and on-budget while exceeding our client’s expectations.

Our ideal candidate will have strong initiative, a sharp eye for opportunity and keen ability to connect the dots, an energizing yet direct communication style, and a healthy balance of optimism and realism. We’re looking for someone with at least eight years of agency experience and a proven record of bringing in formative new opportunities to an agency business.


This is a full-time remote position. The candidate will be based in a major metro city and have the ability to travel to client offices along the west coast as well as to Grow’s headquarters in Norfolk, VA at least once a quarter. Travel may account for up to 25% of this role.
